The South Dakota State Historical Society-State Archives has collected photographs since its founding in 1891. Through digitization we are able to present some of our images while still providing the care needed for their preservation. This on-line collection is made possible through grants as well as support from private individuals.

This collection contains the original land survey field notes created by the Bureau of Land Management General Land Office in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Field notes are searchable by township and range numbers. More books are added regularly.
